Tonight was the first chance I had to work on the truck. For now I just bypassed the heater core with some piping and flushed the rad. I plan on replacing the heater core next week. I will check the links posted thanks.

Checked the rad level tonight and it's low again. Refilled it and now it looks like we have a leak at the water pump. Still haven't got to the heater core yet. Any ideas? Next week is shaping up to be a real &%*^$!!

Thanks

Got the water pump changed out tonight. Thanks for all the help so far. I will drive it for a few days with the heater core bypassed then if its holding rad fluid I will try changing out the heater core. So far so good.

Well the cooling system is holding fluid now. I think I will tackle the heater core next week. [:'(]

Finished replacing the heater core yesterday. All seems good. Took my son and I about 8 hours. Thanks for all the help. Now he wants to trade it for a jeep.
