Found vacuum leak, need guidance on resolving
Hi all,
My Blazer has been eating up fuel so I replaced the injector spider. Seemed like a smart move since parts of the intake plenum were washed clean.
Having re-assembled, it has a rough idle and random misfire code P0300 was fired.
Did a redneck vacuum leak test with a cigar and I can see that the rubber seal round the 'body' of the injector spider is leaking. I replaced it with a new one when I did the job, and it felt like the plastic plenum cover seated nicely over the seal, but I guess it did not.
Before I take the whole thing apart again, does anyone have any advice for ensuring a good seal when I put it back together?
