Four wheel drive

Default Four wheel drive

Hi I have a 1998 Chevy blazer with the 4.3 l and right now it is stuck in four wheel drive when I press the two wheel drive it will click and the light will just flash and then go back to four wheel drive what should check does it sound like the switch because some days I go out there and none of the lights on the switch are light but then when I press the four hi it will light up again

On your dash switch, are there 3 buttons, or 4?

Retrieve the DTC's and post them in the order they are retrieved. This will require a scan tool capable of accessing the TCCM and BCM. The DTC's will start with "C" followed by four numbers.

Here goes the "broken record"....remove the 4x4 switch assembly from dash. Carefully take the switch halves apart to access the printed circuit board. using a soldering IRON, not gun reflow/resolder every joint, especially at the connector pins.

Re-install and try it again. May solve problem, may not.
