My 1995 has been loosing coolant andI've been topping it off for over a year now. I've got the upper intake manifold off to replace the fuel regulator. I assumed the lower intake gasket was the problem. I pressurized the coolant system. Nothing was squirting but I finally found a place dripping. It's coming from the passenger side motor mount.
Even with the wheel off I can't see the exact place where the leak is coming. I imagined it was a head gasket. Looking at pictures of the block, seems there is a freeze plug under the engine mount (dumb!). The other plug, above the starter is dry.
Searched the forum but didn't find any postings about replacing the plug under the mount. My plan is the remove the mount while supporting the engine with a jack and a block of wood under the pan.
The only plug I replaced I ended up using a rubber compression type because I couldn't hammer in a metal plug. Will this be the same deal?
Anyone done this and care to give me some pointers?

When I replaced my block heater, it was tight but I did not have anything in the way like it sounds like on the passenger/left side.
There are 2 plugs on each side of the bottom block. The plugs near the firewall are accessible however the other two are under the engine mounts. You installed the heater plug in the rear. No way to fit anything under the mounts. Stupid design...
Wondering if I can get the passenger side engine mount off without removing the exhaust manifold.
