Default Front driver door doesn't open from outside

I put my key in and I can turn the key to the right but the door doesn't open. I have to use the other door to go inside the car and open this door using the inside door handle. When I press the lock button on the door switch, it doesn't lock the door. It can lock the other 3 doors though. I can't open the door from outside even if the inside door lock is unlocked. The outside door handle not working for some reason.

Pretty easy fix. Order a new handle and install. You have to pull the door panel off, which is pretty easy. If you don't have a clue on how to do it, look on youtube or talk to someone that is familiar with the procedures.

I took the door panel off and it seems like the rod that connects the outside door handle to something down there is broken. Is it the door latch? Do I have to replace both parts?

It should just be the door latch. Remove it and you will know for sure.

So the rod that connects the outside door handle to the latch/actuator got disconnected so I connected it back together. I can open the door from outside again.

I have 2 more problems:
When I align the latch with the striker, I can close the door. But after I slam the door to close it a few times, the latch moves around so it is not aligning with the striker so I can't close the door anymore. How do I stop the latch position from moving around?

When I press the lock/unlock button on the door switch, I can lock and unlock all doors except the front driver door. I can manually pull up and down the lock on the door but it is not responding to the door switch. What's the problem here? door switch, rod, latch, actuator, or wire?
