Default Fuel Additives

I just finished up a little "see if it is worth it" kinda test. I have been adding a bottle of SeaFoam once a month in my gas tank when I fill up at the pump. It has been 3 months now and I am pleased with what I found. My engine definately runs smoother and I kept track of the mpg... I am now getting between 4 too 5 miles more per fill up than when I started using the SeaFoam. Is it worth it? Well, I think it is... Smoother running motor and better fuel economy per fill up more than pays for the additive. Was wondering if anyone else uses this stuff and did they see similar results? I also run Premium gas, 91 or 92 octane, I forget lol!

As far as additives go, imo most are junk and not worth the money. One of the exceptions being seafoam. I've never used it myself, but I've always read good things about it

I have always heard good things about Techron in the black bottle. I have used it when I feel the engine is starting to run or idle roughly. It seems to help smooth it out. I don't have any before and after MPG figures to support that.

It has been a week now since I added a bottle of SeaFoam in the gas tank. I will keep track of my mpg when I fill up another 3 weeks and see if it drops back down 4 or 5 miles per fill up when I first started using it... Truck is still running great though.
