Default Fuel Filter O Ring

When I took my fuel filter off a rubber o ring fell down. I am not 100% sure where is goes.

I did not notice until after I installed the new filter and it was leaking. I put the o ringon the very end of the line that runs into the side of the filter with the nut and I do not have a leak anymore.

Just looking for some confirmation here so I can feel better!

By the way Admins, the how to for fuel filter replacement is not showing correctly. There are some steps and pictures missing:

There are a lot of threads that just need to be redone. From what I am told, nothing can be done to recover what was lost unless the member who first completed the How-To had a copy backed up to their computer.

I do have a printed copy of that how to. If I can remember, Iwill have to repost the text.

Any ideas on the o ring?

is this on your zr2-2000 model?JP[:@] if it is then you have a factory clip assby on the front and a flange nut on the rear of it. Having said this that little(probably brown) o ring goes on the rear as you said. There is a shoulder where it'll fit perfectly. Without seeing exactly where you put it-I do believe from your explanation that you put it where it should be. That fact is further verified by the fact it now doesn't leak. You have my vote of confidence-but if unsure it should be easy enough to double check. JP

Yes it is onmy 2000 ZR2. Thank you for the reply. Do you know how bad it sucks to have that filter put back together and then have to take it apart again because of that little o ring? [sm=chairshot.gif]
