Default Fuel guage not working

Any one have any experience with this -

Tried another dash pack - no change

Pluged in another tank sender unit - still not working

Have factory manuals but can't find anything useful.
There's no wiring diagrams that help.

Thinking I'm looking for a wiring fault?

Any help gratefully received

Wiring sounds like the right direction to go in

Default Fuel guage issue

You're not going to believe this but I found the problem eventualy.

Was about to give up when the lightbulb moment hit.

The 6 pin plug fron the tank sender was pluged into the encoder motor.
I couldn't undersand why - made no sense at all.

It ocured to me, that maybe amongst the other gearbox plugs, there might
be another 6 pin plug where it should be connected.

Sure enough - there was - also explained the transfere case falt.

Pluged it all in correctly to find encoder motor fault - replaced now all is well.

It's a problem here now these are cheap - people who should not be allowed out on their own buy them and mess with stuff they realy shouldn't.
