Wow, just replaced the pump with an ac delco in February. New pump started making noises this week and totally took a dump today... After only 5 weeks!! Pump would click and wouldn't make any pressure (0 psi). Ran to autozone and got a new delphi, I hope Amazon takes the other pump back!

so i know this is an old thread. but just throwing this out there. 04 blazer 2 door.once in awhile my gas gauge will point down and spin around. i knock on the cluster then it will go back to normal which is still not normal. the guage reads 1/4 full but wouldnt start the other day.. its a work in progress. so i added 2 gallons of fuel and truck started up. seems like general rule is new pump with sender. if anyone with any input other then what i have been reading since these problems seems to be years old wants to chime in please do so.

The only time this has happened to me is when I've disconnected the battery to do something or when I pulled out my cluster to put LEDs in. The problem corrected itself within 10 miles. When I start my blazer though the gauges will be slightly inaccurate for a mile before settling but I assume that's just old car quirks.

Back when the guage broke I had to glue the needle back in place on the display in my 96... I filled up the gas tank and glied it back on right where it would normally be when full. Still works great!
