Default FUEL INJECTORS - UGH!

Can anyone help me?

I just replaced an injector on my '97 4.3L, put everything back together and when I went to start it ... there was a POP and wouldn't start. [:@] Hmmm ... the injectors where routed correctly. I put the retaining plate back on, so I doubt an injector would pop out the spider. But I'm not sure. It doesn't want to start correctly.

Also, when I received the spider assembly I purchased, it was an updated assembly to electrical injectors instead of mechanical. If I put these in is there any other conversion pieces I have to add? Or can I just plug 'em in????? The set up is the same ...

i take it you bought the MFI replacement unit.. take a look at the file attached and verify installation was done correctly.

Melanie,

Did you remove the distributor during the upgrade? ( I'm assuming you did) If so,verify that you haven't reinstalled the distributor 180 degrees out.
Just a thought.
