fuel pressure problem!! please help
And yes, not getting enough fuel to the engine, especially under load, would definitely cause drivability issues.
Pretty good, actually. In the last month, 3 members of the Astro forum have had to replace that little piece of hose because the ethanol now in fuel ate it up. The pump was fine.

as far as i know, egr only kicks on when cruising, so during WOT conditions, the symptoms of a bad egr valve wouldnt be present. as for your pressure issue, make sure you check everything first before you condemn the fuel pump. i had the exact same pressure loss you do, and it turned out to be a bad fuel pressure test port schrader valve. 5 bucks at NAPA versus 300 for a new pump is kinda nice. also check the inside of the intake plenum for pooling of fuel, a common sign of a bad FPR. i understand it was replaced recently, but could be defective or improperly installed. or you could hook up your fuel pressure tester where the filter goes and and find out if you leak is tank side or engine side.

also i looked on autozone and the fuel pump doesnt cost no $300?? am i missing something here? when we bought this blazer about two years ago he said he just installed a new fuel pump too? im guessing he bought it at autozone?

what EGR code are you getting? is it insufficient flow? or something else? it might not be the valve itself. could be the wiring, or maybe its not getting an input signal. i havent had to replace my pump yet, but from everything ive heard on here, you dont want to go with a chinese one from autozone. theyre crap. spend the change and get an AC delco. theyre about 300.
im getting the P0401 code it says on the ticket autozone gave me that it has detected to little flow on the egr system. and it says probable cause is blocked passage or failed egr valve. wiring all looks good and ive cleaned the egr. and where do i find these ac delco pumps or delphi pumps?
i cleaned them as much as possible but i couldnt get it all. i guess i could take it off again and clean it again. maybe something got in their again?

ok check this out. laqst night it rained and this morning the blazer ran like poop. if you take off like a normal person it would keep surging worse than ever but if u get on it like WOT it felt fine? now yesterday it was actually running pretty good since it hadnt rained for a week? now i do have a hood scoop that is open in front and rear. is it possible rain is getting on something to cause this? i popped the hood and everything looks dry like the dizzy and stuff so what else could be my problem? it deffinatly seems worse when it rains.
