Default RE: fuel pump

if it flows more fuel than your gas mileage will go down but i think maybe your performance might be better

Default RE: fuel pump

Actually, it wouldn't affect fuel mileage at all. With any pump, the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) will divert unused fuel back to the tank, just circulating it. So even if this pump were to flow more fuel, it would just be circulating the fuel. No added pressure or wasted fuel.

Now, I have to question whether this is actually a high performance pump or just someone trying to make an extra buck. Reason being that the fuel pump isn't separately replaceable from the whole fuel pump assembly (including the fuel level sending unit). I would really be interested in seeing the auction you are referring to if you wouldn't mind providing a link.

Typically, the best pumps to buy are genuine AC Delco pumps (AC Delco #MU13 OEM #25163489 for 4dr & AC Delco #MU12 OEM #25163488 for 2dr). If you have an AC Delco dealer in your area, you can pick up a pump for a bunch cheaper than the dealers charge.

Hope this helps!

Just look at the application list... That should make you uneasy about purchasing it...
