RE: Fuel pump
If I remember correctly, it's the same on the '95 as it is in later models. You have to lift the Blazer up, and also support the tank with a jackstand, then disconnect the fuel lines, etc. and loosen the support straps for it. Then you can lower the tank. When you remove and replace the pump assembly, be careful not break it. Getting pieces of fuel pump out of your tank sucks. It's even worse if the pieces come off your new pump.

RE: Fuel pump
Without knowing what the PN is of the one you are looking at, there is no way to tell if it would work. There are quite a few differences in the fuel pumps in the prior to 98 and the 98 on. Not to mention the differences in 2dr to 4dr for the Blazer pumps. Way too many differences to be able to say for sure without knowing all of the details of the vehicle you are pulling the pump from (exact year, 2wd/4wd, etc) and then comparing that with the pump required for your application.
As far as the replacement goes, you have to lower the tank. There is no access hole inside the truck.

RE: Fuel pump
PN == part number...
For a '99 Blazer 4dr 4wd, the replacement AC Delco pump is an MU85 (GM #25176789). For a '97 S10 ext cab 2wd... I can only find the PN for the regular cab which is AC Delco # MU1062 (GM #25344814).
The differences may be slight, but a used fuel pump is not something I would ever consider using. I realize that the price may be steep, but you have no idea of the health of the pump you will be putting in when you go used. I would rather buy the proper replacement (AC Delco when it comes to fuel pumps) and do the job once than to do it again in short order because I went the cheap route. But that is up to you.
