Fuel Pump?
I bought a 1997 Blazer LT 4X4 about a year ago and has slowly been getting slower and slower to start. I'm 90% sure its the fuel pump, because if I turn the key so that they fuel pump engages but the starter doesnt turn over a few times it will start. So I don't think the pump creates enough pressure. The local autoparts store(I live in Canada) charges over 500 bucks for a new fuel pump. So I checked on EBAY and there are ridiculously cheap ones, 80 bucks or so. I was just wondering if anyone has tried one of these and if the actually work. I'm a university student so I'm always looking to save money, but if it means my truck is going to die up a logging road 100 km from nowhere its not worth it.
Thanks for any help!

[sm=welcomesign.gif]to the Forum. Could be the pump, let's check the pressure as I explain in this thread. If it is a bad pump, do yourself a favor and stay away from the bottom dollar ones. Folks have tried them and quite a few had to replace the pump again. If there's any way you can swing it, go with an AC/Delco pump if that's what the problem turns out to be.
