Fuel pump issue??
I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer 4x4 I know the sending unit on the fuel pump is bad already because the fuel gauge hasnt worked for quite some time. Here is my question whenever i accellerate or even just rev the engine up while parked I hear a "whooshing" sound (best way to describe it) coming from the rear of the vehicle similar to wind rushing in a crack. My question is could this be a sign of further failure of the fuel pump or do y'all have any other suggestions as to what it might be. It just seems like everything is going at once. New distributor (which ticks when cold) plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Needs transfer case actuator motor, and just started overheating this week etc. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
i doubt it, usually when fuel pumps go they begin to run at loud speeds all the time (kinda like a loud whining sound). and the gauge could be a number of things from the gause itself to a wiring issue to a stuck arm
