Default fuel pump problem...maybe

Symtoms:

Blazer starts and runs fine... when I turn it off it wont start back

Fuel pressure when it does start is about 60psi
pressure when it wont start is only about 20psi

could this be a fuel pump problem or is it something else?

I changed the coil pack and the fuel pressure regulator.
I am getting good spark and power to the injectors when it wont start.

Have you done a leak test? I know you need 60 PSI to run correctly. There is a fuel pressure regulator, I believe it is located under the top manifold with the spiders.

I have done the leak test.. it loses about 2psi in five min. from what I understand, that is within specs. I just replaced the the fuel pressure regulator yesterday.

Sure sounds like the pump, but I would go over the power/ground to the pump first to make sure that it isn't something simple.

I am going to check the electrical connections today. I will post back my results

the electrical connections seem to be fine. they were very tight, and clean. I didn't see any burnt spots or any signs of heat.

if it has voltage and ground and it holds pressure, try to run it on an alternative fuel source like fuel injection cleaner, if it runs briefly and stalls i would replace the fuel pump and fuel filter, also inspcet the fuel itself for contamination while the tank is down just to be on the safe side.

I did try the fuel injection cleaner, and it would act like it was going to start. I have already replaced the fuel filter
