fuel pump question
I have a fuel pump that I cleaned off the top of it. There is a black electrical plug (three wire) that I believe is the fuel presure switch. While I was cleaning it I relized that this piece has a **** on the top that turns. I relized after getting it very clean that I had been turning it the whole time.
Is this an adjustment for this switch?

New pump is in and no fuel to carb, i am working on getting a presure gage, but the check valve under the hood is not producing any fuel when pushed. Pump is running, I wired in the new pump with a new conector and there was no markings on the two black wires, Matched the other two, purple and gray. Is it possible the pump is running in reverse??
I put a new filter in 3 weeks before the new pump. I will most likely change the filter again. What is the best way to check presure/fuel at the filter?
should I have to bleed the air out of the line after the new pump. I changed this pump once before and do not recall doing that.
Any suggestions?
It will start with gas dumped into the carb, but stalls out when its burned out.

You could just unhook the fuel line at the filter, and turn the key, if the pump has good pressure, it should spray gas all the way to your front wheels, that pump can put out a litre in about 15 seconds so dont leave the key on for long... Make sure you are not smoking and somewhere ventilated though.
