Default Fuel Pump question

Hey I have a second generation blazer that I need to get the gas out of and have decided that the easiest way to do this would be to put power to the fuel pump and pump it into a container. What I need to know is where exactly would I jump the power to? I believe what I am looking for is a relay to jump the power to but not sure where it is located. any advice or help for me?

Yes, you may need the key on, i'm not sure. But there are the terminals for the switch and for the fuel pump's power and ground that the relay connects when the switch for it is engergized. Jumping the connectors for the pump is the same as the relay activating.

On my '95 there is a connector for this on the driver side inner fender. It's a female connector that doesn't go to anything. Put 12V to it and it energizes the pump. No need to mess around with relays. There is a cover right above the connector that comes off, and there is supposed to be a 12V supply in there, but I had a long jumper and just ran it from the battery.

It think it's different on the later second gens, though.

probably a good idea to have some sort of fusible link in the jumper, as well. I didn't, but ya never know.
