Default fuel pump question

I just purchased my first blazer it a 2000 blazer 4x4 4.3 with 110xxx miles on it, it has a slight hesitation when idling, it started doing it about 3 days after I bought it and sometimes you can here the fuel pump make the whining sound only when you start it up for a couple seconds and then sometimes you can here it make the whining sound all the time , just curious if this is normal or not.

Its normal to hear the pump. All my pumps have made noise. Some may be quieter than others. It just means its working.
Change the fuel filter and check the fuel pressure and leak down if your concerned about the hesitation

Yea I'm little concerned about the hesitation cause I go out of state a lot, but I done a tune upyyesterday, put new plugs and cap and button used all acdelco parts put a new fram fuel filter and k&n air filter it ran a little better but still had the hesitation but not as bad, so I rented a fuel pressure tester and with key on engine off it was 54 shut it off and waited 10 minutes and it was down to 48 I left and came back about an hour later it was down to 34, does that sound about right or like there might be something wrong, I'm used to the tbi s10s

Sounds like you may have a bad fuel pump, key on engine off pressure should be between 60-66 PSI, and stay above 55 PSI for at least 10 minutes.

Ok thanks for the help, I just looked through my warranty brochure and it showed the fuel system is under warranty so I'm gonna take it back up there to the dealership Tuesday, are there any more common problems I should look for on the blazer

Scroll down the forum a bit: https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...es-look-81306/

If the pump is covered by warranty, make sure they replace it with an ACDelco. You don't want your warranty and your new pump to expire at the same time.
