Fuel Pump & Radio

Fuel Pump & Radio
1995 Blazer- Sometimes it would start fine, Sometimes would take a couple of cranks. Is there any connection with the wiring, and the radio? I found out I had a bad fuel pump by checking this site for problems, but I can't figure out why my radio would freeze on a station (the volume too, I couldn't chage stations, volume, or turn off radio when it would freeze. It would still play even when turned off.), and the radio wouldn't work for 6-8-10 to 24 hours after it would freeze, and the ignition was turned off then back on. Since I changed my fuel pump, I've had no problems with the radio! Is there any connection?

i think the only way they could effect each other would be if the whole electrical system had some big problem, or if the circuts were somehow contacting each other.

Did you disconnect the battery when you changed the pump ? If so, you probably cleared the processor or a related IC in the radio. They can crash just like a computer. If you're lucky it won't come back but I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up again eventually.
