Default Fuel Pump re-build?

Since it's Sunday and everybody seem's to be in a good mood, I have a question. Is there any reason not to just replace the fuel pump and not the whole assembly if nothing appears broken?

You need to do some research on the specific pump applications but should be doable.

I kept the pump assemblies for both my brava and tbird... thinking I'll buy one Walbro 255 lph for rebuilding whichever I need first,

Note that if you use fuel tubing to replace the plastic, you MUST use immersion rated tubing. On standard fuel lines, only the lining is resistant.
