I have a big problem with my 2000 GMC jimmy, before 1 week I go to start my car and it's not work when I go behind it I saw that all fuel coming out from the fuel tank I check what is happen under the car then surprise a small cat was sitting on the fuel pump which result a force on one of the lines so it's broke. I say ok no problem I will buy new one It's already 20 years old truck but when I buy new GM fuel pump I found another surprise when I try to fit the new one I notice that the lock location on the top plastic housing is different then the old one and it's not fit because of that.
So, anyone have Idea to make it fit on the fuel tank or can I replace the top housing or it's not removable?
The brand of fuel pump for these trucks is important. There are many reported failures with after market brands and so the general consensus around here is AC Delco or Delphi pumps only.
That said I have found over the years that Denso products are very good and use them a lot elsewhere but I do not know if a Denso fuel pump for a blazer is a good choice.
