Default Fuel Pump Sending Unit & Tie Rod End Advice

Hey I hope everyone is having a great summer!! I surely am.

Ok so I been having a problem with my fuel guage not working properly since day one when I bought my 99 Trailblazer.. I fill up it shows full.. half way it goes down half way.. after that I wait for the needle to flop around like a dead fish LOL.. If im at a stand still and i show empty.. I rock the truck and it jumps. After reading thru forums and advice online.. Im gonna tackle replacing the Fuel Pump Sending Unit tomorrow. It dont seem to bad of a project...

NOW HERES WHERE I NEED THE MOST ADVICE.. I attached some pics below. I am going to replace all 4 ball joints all 4 tie rod ends.. they look and feel pretty well shot!! You may be able to tell in the pictures... now heres the kicker.. Not only do i have alot of play when i move my tires with my hands while the vehicle front end is off the ground but.. if im under the vehicle i noticed alot of play also in where the pitman arm & idler arm connect to the relay rod.... .. Should I attempt to replace them too? I feel very comfortable with the ball joints and tie rod ends but those other items look a little difficult.. I got a whole day to do all of this set asside...

Thanks for anyones help....

Neal

pitman arm and idler arm is easier then doing ball joints. you might need a pitman arm puller to get it off but other then that it should be one bolt. idler arm is usually two bolts then the ball joint you have to separate. really aint that bad. just make sure you get the tires back to straight or take it to a alignment shop right after
