Default fuel system

In my 1995 s10 Blazer I replaced the fuel filter...now the engine wont start!!!!
After removing the filter, I left it stand for 24 hours before installing the new filter. Suspect a big air bubble, but should'nt the pump push it out of the system? Tried to locate where the lines come into the engine. Thought I would break apart there and let the air out. Could it be the pressure regulator? where is it located? I have the Vortec engine.

Default RE: fuel system

we need the year make and model, the vortecs are diffrent from diffrent years. as far as the air bubble goes, i dont imagine that it would block the fule lines for any length of time, did you try to start it a bunch of times, not just twice. if so then i imagine any air buble would have been dispatched. do you know what kind of fuel pressure you are getting? does it try to fire at all or does it just turn over?

did you put the filter on with the flow arrow towards the engine? There is only one way they go, maybe its on backwards.

Did you prime the system?
Turn the key to run, not start, about 6 times. The fuel pump comes on for 2 seconds and shuts off. Doing this 6 times or more will push the air out of the system. I do this anytime I open up the fuel system, change the fuel filter, replace teh fuel pump, disconnect the fuel lines, etc.
