yes done did that but today iam going to pull the tank back down and take the pump out and start all over

the reason the check engine light came on is because theres a hole in the cap if you have another cap or something try that

no the hole had nothing to do with it . come to find out it was the new pump it was not letting the air out

something is wrong with the evap system the hole is causing the mil light to come on when you put the pump back in you eater didnt hook up a line or blocked one off or something

For the question about the gas spewing out over railroad tracks..
There is a check valve in the filler tube- looks like a ping-pong ball- that will stop flow upon a roll-over- I see it when I pull the filler tube from the tank....
