Default G80 Axle Shafts

I have a 1996 2dr 4wd 5 speed blazer with the G80 diff. , I have looked without any results on a part number for a replacement axle shaft, the passenger side is toast where the bearing rides on, I went to the junk yard yesterday only to find out that my axle is a larger diameter than the axles on the other blazers that were there, does anyone know where to buy or have a part number for the G80 axle shafts, any help would be great!!!

Go to GM Parts Direct, click the 'catalog' tab and choose your vehicle, then click the link for 'Universals & Rear Axle'. You want to go to page 8 to find the 4WD shafts.

Thanks for the reply, i am assuming that this axle shaft has 30 spline count, I could not find anywhere on there that it was? the axle shaft that I removed is 29 1/8" in length.

One of them might be a ZR2, (higher, wider package). Seems to me ZR2 axles are about 1" longer. Did you look into the possibilities of a repair bearing? WAY cheaper than an axle. The repair bearing rides on the axle in a slightly different location and allows you to use the original axle.

Two different sizes: measure twice, order once Most auto parts stores carry them in stock, might be worth a call to your local store and save on shipping costs.
