Default Gas leak from under rear driver side door. 96, 4x4, 4.6L, auto trans

Ok so I put 30 dollars in fuel on Friday which gave me 3/4 of a tank I drove it home and parked it. It sat in the driveway for 4 days. I went to start it today and noticed right away a strong gas smell. I decided to just drive it to my mechanic. Unfortunately it wouldn' start. It kept trying it over and over but just wouldn't start. I tried it off and on for a few hours until the battery was about to die. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? I will attach a few pics.

Welcome to the forum. Since it won't start the leak is in the 3/8 inch fuel supply line. A flashlight and some safety glasses and you'll see where and how long of a piece you need to repair it. Can we talk you into and through fixing it yourself?

It wouldn't hurt to put a charger on your battery if you have one. Basic tubing tools are cheaper than a trip to the mechanic and empowers you to do it yourself for cheap. When one line on a 22 year old truck starts leaking, some more usually follows.

Ok so I jacked it up and and felt around for the line. Is the fuel line on top of the frame? If so I think I found the leak it' just really hard to see?

Yes, it's the largest line.

Yeah I looked up a video on fixing it. I' pretty sure I can do that. Not rocket science. Im just gonna have to buy a few tools. I will update soon. Quick question, is it not starting because it' sucking air through the crack in the line?

No, it's not starting because the pressure is too low due to the leak. Fuel blowing on the ground instead of to the motor.

Awesome man thanks for all the help! I should have this fixed by tomorrow morning. I'm no mechanic but it' not too hard just a bit time consuming with the learning curve.
