Default Gas mileage

I've got a 02 blazer 4 door 4x4.....last year during the summer got decent mileage 16 to 20 ..with the a/c on..this winter to now I'm only getting 14 to 16...anybody no why. I have just changed the fuel filter a month ago with no change...have about 54000 miles on it. Anybody no why this is ...or what the problem is

Thanks Scott

i'd check the air filter and pcv valve to start umm.. your engine is still kind of young but i'd check the coolant level in case you gave an internal leak. other wise just wait a little while your engine might be adjusting to a different fuel ( i have heard that gas companies sell different types of gas in winter and in summer)

It's also way past time for a full tuneup! Also, run the codes to check the system out and post back what codes you get.

It's quite possible that the winter mix of gas (depending on where you live) was affecting your fuel mileage. Also, you have to factor in warm up time (if you warm your vehicle up before taking off)... Even with my Bonneville, my fuel mileage drops to 20mpg in the winter and 24-26mpg in the summer
