Gauge Cluster issue

I'm a new member to Blazer forum, and have already searched for my answer, but could not find it. I just bought a 2001 blazer 2 dr 2wd from my brother in law. Never owned one before, but couldnt pass up the deal. My issue is a few months ago, he removed the white face gauge kit, but could not get the tachometer and fuel gauge needles reinstalled correctly. The tach is about 500-700 rpms off, and the fuel gauge is about an 8th off. Is there anyway to reset the gauges without pulling the needles and guessing the correct locations? Any help is appreciated before I buy a new cluster.
