Gear ratio question(s) fellas!

You can find your RPO codes in your glove box. That will tell you which gear ratio you have now. There is a list on the first page of this thread that will tell you the codes for the various gear ratio's available on s-series trucks. The most common on Blazers is 3.42 (GU6) and 3.73 (GT4). I'm almost positive that all ZR2's came with 3.73 gears.
As for driving with miss-matched front & rear axles, you would be fine as long as you don't have a Bravada with AWD, and as long as you disable the 4x4 by pulling the fuse. This will prevent the front axle from engaging. If you were to engage the 4x4 with miss-matched axles while moving you WILL break stuff. I drove mine for 3 months after swaping my rear axle before I could get the front changed to match.

i would drop the front drive shaft if your not (ever) gonna use the 4WD and you change the rear ratio. just in case some idiot ever borrows your car and trys to use the 4WD. you never know!

yeah thats a good point. is the rear end 7.5"

Unless you have a ZR2, you should have the 7.5" rear end. The ZR2's had the 8.5" or 8.6".
