Gearbox oil

Question Gearbox oil

Hi,

i have 96 blazer.
i havent driven it about 6 months.
one day I had driven few miles just before. opened my hood and saw gearbox oli leaking out of the pipe where you check oil level. whan i opened the *** there were about 5 inch fountain of oli. when i started the engine, oil level droped. leater when i stoped the engine oil level rise again to the top of the pipe.

i thein its not normal - what should i do?

Is this your engine oil or your transmission fluid? Either way, that is not normal in the least.

transmission oli.
i was sugested to check trnasmission exhortation (i hope its the right word)(hole where air gets out of the transmission)
could you tell me where to look for it.

The transmission case vent is located on top of the transmission about 1/3rd of the way back from the bell housing.

so this vent is located between transmission and body :S - how can i get near it to check it out? - lifting the body is not an option :S
is there some kind of hach in the body or something ?
