General Help with 2000 Blazer
Hello and thanks for any help you guys can provide on this:
I currently live overseas (Italy) and drive a 2000 4x4 4dr LT Blazer. I’ve had relatively few problems with it but am looking to do a good tune-up on it myself and try to correct a few issues it’s having. I’ve taken it in for regular oil changes and tune ups but I just don’t really trust the Italian mechanics to do the quality job I want. Additionally, it’s had a rough idle and what feels like a lack of power while driving for awhile. From what I’ve read on these forums this is most likely associated with the fuel injector/pump systems?
Anyway, to my questions:
What additional maintenance/part replacement do you recommend I do? I would like to correct any of the ‘usual’ problems that Blazers have before they occur.
What parts/manufacturer do you recommend? Please keep in mind I have to order them online.
Do you have any resources (web pages) that could assist me in getting the job done? I have some experience working on vehicles just out of necessity of being overseas but am certainly not an expert. I have an auto hobby shop available so tools/equipment shouldn’t be a problem.
Please be as specific as possible.
Thanks for the help, I look forward to your responses.
