Default Getting code without symptoms

I have a 1996 Blazer automatic with 4wd and 203k miles. I'm getting DTM P1870 with no obvious symptoms. The truck shifts perfectly through all gears. Does having that code necessarily mean it'll shift hard? Any ideas?

Run a 'search' for P1870 in the thread title and you'll get lots of threads to read about it, especially this one.
