Default Glass tail lift hinges

Hi from Normandy, Last year I replaced the tail lift support struts on my 2000 RHD Blazer. I have recently noticed that the struts have pushed the tail lift upwards creating a large gap at the top between the roof and the top of the tail lift (see photo)
I haven't removed the tail lift yet but have taken the struts off and the tail lift moves back close to its original position.

It would appear that the hinges have bent, they don't seem to have broken away from the glass.

It seems that I need to bend the hinges back into shape but this concerns me because of the glass.

Has anybody experienced this and does anyone have a better solution.

Cost of new glass tail lift is about €2000!!

Thanks guys

Figured since I wasn't the one necroing it I might as well ask. Tired of rain getting in the back.
