Default Good engine preventive maintenances?

Hello all,
I got a 01 4x4 blazer here and soon I am planning to upgrade the injectors and change the intake manifold gaskets. Since I am gonna be spending time taking crap off the engine I was wondering if there is anything with the engine prone to going bad at this age (and 120k miles). Sensors or stuff like that basically anything that wont require me pulling the heads. I have a cross country road trip planned out for the upcoming summer and I wanna make sure I wont have any problems so anything there is that I should test or replace just to be on the safe side please let me know...

P.S. the rotor, cap, plugs and the wires were recently replaced along with the PCV valve and the water pump but that is pretty much it.

I think you are golden if it runs good, no SES light on at any time, and no ticks or knocks. Fuel pump can always go bad, but it's not a casual repair. Engine bearings are a concern if any coolant got into the oil - also not a casual repair. O2 sensors are said to degrade slowly over time (due to their nature), but seems like a waste of money to me if no problems. The rest of the sensors are either good or bad IMHO - not in between.

Some people would clean the MAF sensor, but I say don't Dick around with it unless it is giving you problems.

You can always replace the oil cooler lines if you want something fairly difficult to do with engine in! They always seem to be needed!

Make sure your TCC is working and your front axle is unlocked for best mileage. Keep it under 65 (under 60 if you dare to **** people off!). You may be surprised.

Cheers and best wishes for your upcoming trip - but I think Summer is almost over in the Northern Hemisphere!

speaking of the fuel pump... recently Ive been hearing weird noises from the back of the car near the gas tank whenever I turn the car on after a cooling period of longer than 15 minutes. Gotta check the pressure and see if its gone lower..
