Default Hard start in morning

I have question regarding hard starting of my 2001 Blazer.
It takes a lonnng time to start first thing in the morning, but once started its great the rest of the day. It seems if it sits for longer than about 6 hours the problem arises.
I've pretty much narrowed it down to the fuel injectors leaking down overnight or fuel pressure regulator?
The question I have though is why if I get a jump in the morning it fires up right away....?
I've had the battery tested and it's fine...not great but fine. It's about 3 years old.
Is it because of the extra cold cranking amps I get with the jump?
And would a new battery help to solve my problem or would that be a waste of money and should deal instead with the fuel injectors/regulator...?

One more thing, it sounds like it's trying to grab....almost starts but not quite...like enough fuel is just not quite making it through.
But with a jump...bang, it starts!

You need a fuel pressure gage. Auto Zone loans them or you can buy one for around forty bucks. The pressure needs to be above 60psi with key on engine off. Then not leak down below 55 in ten minuets. Come back with the #'s and someone can tell you how to tell if its fuel pump or under the plenum. My guess is fuel pump if it starts with the extra amps.
