Default Hatch problem

Have a 97 S10 Blazer that the latch on the inside of the glass has come off. Have fliped the switch next to the most rear dome light so the lights will go off. But now how to put it back on. Any ideas?

The latch came off the glass part. Stuck back on with weather strip adhesive, (yellow snout). Want to see if someone has a better way.

I had the defrost wire tab come off my glass a while back. I was able to resolder it but only lasted a few months. Went to the junkyard got a replacement glass with defrost tabs intact (and Latch!!) for $35. real easy to replace... except with no power (on the junked vehicle) you will need to pull the inside panel off to release the latch. I got lucky and found one that was already open.

you might try a rear view mirror attachment kit - the glue in it attaches damn strong - i've seen a chunk of glass pop off the windows trying to get the mirrors back off
