Default Hazard Sitch

1996 Blazer. Replaced broken hazard switch. Everything seemed to go Okay. Now it's messed up. No brake lights. When I have the hazard switch in the off or down position, I have no turn signals. When I put the hazard switch in the on or up position, I still have no hazard signals, but when I try the turn signals, they work fine????!!! Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Certainly sounds like the hazard switch is the culprit. It is cheap enough and easy enough to try first anyway.

Thanks. Replaced with second new hazard switch and this one worked no problem. Too bad we can't trust a new part when we buy it though.
