Disabled DRL's and auto on
Hello,
To update one of my posts here:
I found the DRL relay in the under hood fuse box by using the schematic on the underside of the cover. I pulled the relay out and (per other posts) bent pin 86 over. Replaced the relay and no DRL's. Now to handle the auto on feature:
Remove the speaker cover in the passenger side dash (you should see the small spherical sensor in the speaker grill). Unplug the sensor and connect the wires coming to the sensor with a 2.2K Ohm resistor (less than a buck at Radio Shack). I doubled the ends of the resistor over enough to make a snug fit into the plug for the sensor (no wire cutting reqd.). Add some electrical tape to cover the end and you now control the headlamps completely. In just a few minutes I could put it all back to stock (like if I sold my Blazer).
