Default Headlight problems

Hello,
I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl. Every once in a while when I start up the vehicle the headlights will not come on, nor will they come on when I trun on the manual switch. The instrument panel lights up but no headlights. Then after about 5 minutes the headlights come on and I won't have the problem for a few months. Any ideas what causes this??

Dave

Probaly a short in your wiring, caused by a pinched wire.
Check your fuse.

Or maybe its making bad contact were the bulb insert is from dirt and debree?<<<it happened to me a while back on my driver side headlight.

Or it could be the actual headlight switch. My wires somehow came loose a little bit on the back, so I pushed them back in tight and it works fine now over six months later
