does anyone know how to get rid of the sensor for automatic lights on a 98 jimmy

I know a search told me that for my 2005 Blazer, that if you unplug the sensor and put a 1watt 2.2k ohm resistor in place of the sensor, your headlights will NOT turn on automatically at the first hint of darkness... It should be the same for the '98, but I can't say for sure...

Not anymore...I kinda lost track on the info after I did the mod, lol. I'm 98% sure that you need the same resistor... A search for "1998 blazer automatic headlights" or something similar should show up...
I think the '98 is pretty much the same as the '05...

For me, I just don't like it, lol, I prefer to do it myself... Same thing with daytime running lights... Mine use the highbeams at low voltage... And I plan on changing to aftermarket bulbs, and they might not be designed to run at a lower voltage (underpowering can be as bad as overpowering)

But if you have done an HID conversion, then it's really bad for the bulbs, as they don't like being turned on/off quickly, and at certain times of the day, or if you pull up beside a semi and the sun is on the opposite side, then the lights will cycle on/off...
