1999 blazer zr2. my heat only blows out of the dash vents, even when i switch to defrost, floor etc.
the fan works on all speeds, but it only comes from the dash vents

You may have a faulty rotary valve in the A/C control head and the vacuum is not being routed to the mode control actuators.

mine does the same thing and its a zr2 how do u know it thats what it is

There is a TSB about this:

Transfer case vacuum switch seal leaks fluid into vacuum lines and limits the heater controls functions.
