Default Heat always on

Hope someone can help. I've got a 95 4dr Blazer 4x4. I have replaced the blend door actuator, and the cover that was missing over my heater core (maybe someone removed it for a reason). Now no matter what setting I have it in, A/C, heat, vent all I'm getting is extremely hot air from the heater, out of every vent. Seperately, I don't think my A/C will blow cold right now anyway. And possibly I've got somethng about ready to overheat, because the temp is way to hot in the cabin anyway. The temp gauge does not appear operable. All of the dash vents are active, meaning no matter where the control is set, every vent has hot air blowing out of it. I tried the RDO BATT reset but it didn't work and I'm not sure if it even applies to a 95 as it is not an "automatic" control. I want to get all the heat out of the cab before I start trying to solve the A/C issue. Is there another door or another actuator in there somewhere? Also, was 95 prone to overheating or something? We recently purchased this vehicle with a blown head gasket, and the water pump had already been replaced. The heads and gaskets are new now.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance... Brian
