Default Heat does not work!

Hello, I am having a problem with the heat in my 2000 blazer... the fan blows, but no heat comes out, coolant level is good... the heat does not work under any circumstances, engine is not over heating.... any ideas?

If the engine temperature gauge is reading at the normal operating temp, then you most likely have a plugged heater core. You can try flushing it in both directions from the firewall. If that fails, then you will probably have to replace the core.

In that case, your core is completely plugged. What I would recommend is that you disconnect the heater core hoses at the firewall and connect them to each other. Then get two other 6-8" long pieces sized appropriately and connect them to the heater core at the firewall. Mix some vinegar with water and fill the core up with the mixture and then connect these two hoses together. Drive it for a few days or so and then try to flush the core again.
