Heat works for first couple miles then gets cold

Jacked up passenger front last night...radiator took about 1/2 bottle....
but didn't run engine til thermostat opened...damn...forgot about that part...

The 2004 model has the electric blend door actuator and also a vacuum slave door actuator...which of course work together...or at least are supposed to....

Both are accessible through the "glove box" (or whatever it is called now). Drop the "glove box" lid down and check the operation of these two. The electric actuator is tough to get out, requires PATIENCE and a small socket to get the two or three screws out. Then you can check the operation of the actuator itself and the temp door movement.
The slave door vacuum actuator has to come off first, so you can check its operation and the slave door movement first.

Suggest hiring a youngster with small hands to help out.
