my o1 4.3 only gets about 12.5 miles agal. why?

also my truck runs out of gas when the gauge says its still quarter of a tank. can someone please help with this. im a mech. but only on cats and cummings n dont really know much about cars just the normal stuff so any help would b great thanks

el n make my check engine light come on i could clear code n it comes back in aday?????????????????????????

A little info might enable somebody to help you. 2wd or 4wd, manual or automatic, what was the code you got? See what I mean?

Lt 4wd,4dr, auto trans . no code just said emissions
