Default heater core hoses flow

can anyone tell me the flow on the heater core hoses ? the truck has sat for about 3 years because i bought another vehicle and now im trying to sell it. prior to it sitting i had a radiator leak so i bought a new aluminium radiator, water pump, radiator hoses, heater core hoses,t stat, radiator cap and coolant. i filled up the radiator with water from the garden hose to try to flush anything out as well as the heater core and now it gets up to temp but i have no heat. the hoses look the same diamater to me and i want to make sure i didnt cross over them when i flushed out the heater core. id like to get this fixed so i can stand behind the vehicle when i sell it and dont want to create problems for a future owner. thanks for any help.

I know on a '99 slt jimmy that the right hand hose runs to the water pump and the left hand hose runs in to the block.
