Heater Core Tips

I've got a 2000 Jimmy. So I determined my heater core is going.. So I looked online and found some info on how hard it really is.. I've got the whole dash loose but still can't get it all off to get access to the heater core. I also read somewhere that there are 2 bolts you have to get access to from the other side of the firewall. Is this true, and if so, where are they and how do you get access to them? Also is there anywhere online where there's some detailed documentation on this lengthy process? If no one knows of any, any tips?
Thanks in advance!

You should look by the A/C- Blower motor housing in the engine compartment there should be two studs with nuts on them that you will have to remove to get the rest of the dash out...
Here is a little tip: When trying this for the first time take your tools to the local junkyard that lets you pull your own parts and find the model years that fit your application and remove the dash there for practice, generally the engines are already out and you can see better where all the mounting points are for the dash and what you need to get there...especially and "hidden" nuts or bolts....plus if you happen to break any parts while taking it apart at the yard then you won't have to buy replacements...
