Default Heater Hose? Please help. No heat.

I have a question. I think I need to flush my heater core. I was just wondering if I had the correct hoses. I am very new to this, but I was told that I could do this. Are these the heater hoses that I have circled. 1 in the same.

I believe you are correct. You will want to remove the hoses from the engine as it is easier to direct water into them on the engine side of the hoses. One of the hoses goes into the water pump in front of the EGR valve and the other into the lower intake just to the passenger side of the thermostat housing.

I have a question about flushing my radiator. I recently bought a flush kit from advance auto parts. I was wondering which hose i should connect the t-connector too?
Thanks for the help,
Wells

I would put the connector into the hose between the heater core and the intake manifold.
You can get a pair of pliers that are designed to pinch hoses without damaging them, then when you are flushing, pinch the heater hose on one side of the tee for a few minutes, then take them off and pinch the hose on the other side of the tee to reverse the direction of the flush.
Make sure your rad cap is off during the flush.

Where would I get a set of pliers like this and what would they be called?
Thank you for your help,
Wells

EDIT: Sorry for these noobie questions. I am brand new to car mechanics and just want to make sure I get everything right

I used a rag and vise grips to clamp my hoses off. Its amazing how different the cooling system is laid out from a 1st gen to a 2nd gen.

id wrap the rag tight but thin then clamp it.
