I'm not really sure how to explain this. But when i turn my heater on it has a burn kinda odd smell to it. I thought maybe it was the cabin filter but i found out blazers don't have those so now i'm kinda lost. Its only smells like that on heat and if i don't have the heat **** all the way over its not as bad. Kinda like its heating up something in the vents or something and making it smell kinda off.
i know this is a hard thing to explain but i hope i gave enough information; but if not ask.
Thanks in advance for any info.

most of the time if it is the heater core it will be sweet smelling and if bad enough in some cases the passenger floor board will be soaked.... does it smell like something electrical getting hot??... maybe there is something dead in the vents, like a mouse

It could be signs that your blower motor resistor pack is about to blow. This is the only electrical components in the entire system that are supposed to get hot as part of their normal function. Air flow through the HVAC system is supposed to cool it, but over time, the resistors break down.
Do all of your fan speeds work?
Search for "blower+motor+resistor" and you should turn up quite a few threads on this topic.

yeah all the speeds work. I just changed my varistor on the dash. the old one broke and it started to smoke. It went between 2 speeds and over heated switch.
but no water on the floor and def not a sweet smell.
